A Warm, Social Space to Unwind
After a day carving down Whakapapa, the lodge becomes your place to recharge. Our spacious lounge is the heart of Te Horonuku a place where skiers, families, and friends come together over hot drinks, shared meals, and mountain stories.
With plenty of natural light, comfy seating, and the chatter of good company, it’s more than just a lounge it’s the soul of the club. Whether you’re playing a board game, helping cook dinner, or watching the sunset through the windows, you’ll feel right at home.
What To Bring
To make your stay comfortable, all beds at Te Horonuku include duvets, blankets, and pillows — just bring a sheet set, pillowcase, and towel. You’ll also need warm lodge clothes, sleepwear, and a pair of indoor shoes or slippers to wear around the lodge.
Ski and snowboard gear should be brought with you, but members with lockers can leave gear stored on-site throughout the season. Most guests also bring snacks, drinks, or small treats to share — especially for post-ski evenings in the lounge. There’s no need to bring ingredients for breakfast or dinner, as meals are included and the pantry is well-stocked.
We provide hot drinks like tea, coffee, Milo, and juice. Just label anything you store in the fridge. A good book, sunscreen, and a relaxed attitude are always worth packing too.
